As with every year, 2018 had both difficult moments and intensely incredible highlights. I lost my dog Furter who we’ve had for 17 years. But I also broke some boards, enjoyed some great trips with Dusty and the boys, and continued writing and practicing therapy, both which are my dream jobs. Let yourself reflect and grieve the losses as well as embrace the highs of 2018. One of my most personally exhilarating moments this year was when I broke the boards for my third-degree black belt test. That would be my last belt test in a dojang I love with people I love. But we move on into 2019 with a new dojang, new trips, new relationships, and new experiences with those we’ve known and loved for years. We will see what adventures are ahead of us!
