Are you struggling to keep eating and activity in balance? Are you finding it difficult to navigate multiple roles? Do you struggle with persistently feeling down or anxious? Would you like to feel more emotionally equipped during a time of an important transition? I would love to meet you, hear your story, and help you make the changes you want to make. I have significant experience providing specialized treatment for eating problems such as restricting food, emotional eating, binge eating and purging. I am well-equipped to treat anxiety and depression, and I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults.
I’ve been seeing clients for over twenty years, with specialized experience in the treatment of eating-related concerns for the past fifteen years, including thirteen years with Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders/Walden Behavioral Care in Atlanta. My masters degree is in community counseling and my doctoral degree is in counseling psychology, both from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I’m originally from the Midwest and have been living in Atlanta for the past sixteen years. I am married and I have three sons.
My practice is just off of I-85, and is convenient to Decatur, Brookhaven and Buckhead, though I see clients all over the state. Telehealth video sessions are an option for established clients who have obstacles to attending sessions regularly in person. Please consider taking one step today toward change. I’m invested in helping you reach your goals and experience greater empowerment and peace.
